AutoCAD command line
Most CAD professionals spend years mastering AutoCAD commands until they're second nature. Since these commands help create the majority of CAD work, AcceliCAD 2010 transparently maps them to AcceliCAD equivalent commands.

AutoCAD DWG support
AcceliCAD 2010 allows users to read, write and display DWG files from Version 2.5 right through AutoCAD 2006 - without conversion. And since drawings are natively created in DWG, they can be shared between AcceliCAD and AutoCAD without losing mission-critical information. AcceliCAD has an added safety bonus- if it encounters information it cannot work with, it preserves the data unharmed.

AutoLISP and ADS
AcceliCAD 2010 preserves the investment users have made in developing AutoLISP routines to automate and enhance functionality in AutoCAD. This is an important feature, since thousands of these routines exist in corporate AutoLISP libraries or in public domains as shareware. AcceliCAD runs most AutoLISP routines directly, and existing ADS (AutoCAD Development Systems) routines, including DCL, can be run after a recompile.

Menu's, fonts and symbols
It's no problem to transfer custom AutoCAD environments into AcceliCAD 2010, because it works seamlessly with symbol libraries, fonts (SHX), scripts (SCR), menus (MNU), and dialog box (DCL) files (which are typically part of ADS programs or AutoLISP routines).

Edit multiple drawings
AcceliCAD 2010 allows users to open multiple documents at once (MDI). This powerful feature enables CAD professionals to review two or more drawings within one session, copy objects from one drawing to another, load and edit xrefs and copy and paste elements, blocks, and more from one drawing to another.

Scripting
Similar to macros found in Microsoft Office programs, AcceliCAD 2010 records and automates commonly repeated tasks. For example, a script can capture command names, options and coordinates used in a given task, saving valuable design time. AcceliCAD also reads and writes SCR (script) files created in AutoCAD.

Visual Basic
AcceliCAD 2010 not only supports standard forms of customization like AutoLISP and ADS, it offers the power of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). VBA is an object-based programming environment that uses the COM interface, which allows users to develop custom solutions. VBA is a component of Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Raster support
AcceliCAD's advanced raster image support makes it easy to load, manage and manipulate scanned maps, photos, drawings and documents. Designs can also incorporate scanned documents such as aerial photographs, satellite imagery, design drawings or property maps within a drawing environment. AcceliCAD 2010 also includes a set of raster image editing and manipulation tools for color, grayscale and monochrome images.

Photo realistic rendering
AcceliCAD 2010 fully supports 3D surface commands that help you produce high-quality 3D models, almost without effort. Display them as wireframes, with hidden lines removed, with surface shading or as fully rendered photo-realistic artwork. Choose from preset lighting effects, surface materials and backgrounds. Enhance more realistic renderings of textured surfaces like concrete and carpet. Assign materials via a layer lookup table.
